Cape Breton Bike Hash!

Ride

August 11th, 2026 @ 5:15 pm - 7:15 pm

Join us for the first ever Cape Breton Bike Hash! This is an exciting, non-competitive event meant for all skill levels that mimics the world-renowned running club known as Hash House Harriers (or H3). In H3, a pack of runners chase after another runner called the hare by following a course that could involve false trails, dead ends, short cuts, and other features to throw the pack off the scent. These features are used to keep all pack members close together despite differences in skill levels because faster pack members are often required to turn back to find the true trail.

Our event will mimic this by having riders follow a pre-laid course with chalk features through the streets of Sydney and catch up to the hare at the final, unknown destination. The hash will be approximately 15km, with higher-skilled riders riding closer to 20km. Since this is a non-competitive event, the pack can relish their victory together at a social gathering immediately following the event, as is customary with H3 (location to be announced).

Full event briefing to take place prior to the event on August 11 at 5:15pm at the Sydney Cruise Pavillion parking lot.
