A message from our friends with the Heartland Tour:
Join us at the OPEN HEARTH PARK (Ferry Street) for the 18th annual Heartland Tour.
There are two road rides to choose from (we will enjoy a police escort within the city) and three walk distances – a choice for every ability. We also excited to be able to offer line dancing this year – moving to music.
All events will have experienced leadership.
Be sure to get your ticket when you check-in/register for our prize draws. There will be refreshments, music and a chance to socialize once we have finished our activity.
As always we’ll hear from Dr. Nick, smile for the camera and have a great time. AND . . . IT’S ALL FREE!
Why not register now and reduce wait times at registration, there will be prize draws for those who pre-register online.
OPEN HEARTH PARK (Ferry Street)
8:00 am – Registration for cyclists, ordered jersey & t-shirt pick-up.
9:00-9:30 am – Warm-up for cyclists, music by CB Family YMCA
9:30-12:15 – Police Escort Cycle Routes (begin at 9:30 am)
– 50 km Road Ride (around CBU, Reserve, Gardiner, New Waterford, New Victoria, Whitney Pier)
– 20 km to CBU and return to Open Hearth Park, Mary Ann Corbett Trail.
10:00-10:30 am – Registration for Walkers, t-shirts pick-up
– 1 Km walk (Mild and Accessible, all ages)
– 3 Km walk (Moderate Accessible, all ages
– 5 Km power walk (Moderate–Vigorous, age 12+)
10:30-11:00 am – Registration for line dancing, t-shirt pick-up, All Ages welcome
11:15-11:40 am – Line Dancing
11:30-12:00 pm – Snacks,Water, 6” Subway Sandwiches, music
12:15-12:30 pm – Award Presentation by Dr.Nick, Prize Draws
