How to do it:

Step 2 (Optional) – You purchase additional memberships by filling out the form again and clicking “I am purchasing a membership for someone else”

Step 3 – Press the “View Cart” button to review your pending purchases.

Step 4 – Press “Proceed to checkout” and fill out your payment details.


If you don’t want to register online, you can mail-in your application with a paper copy of VCB Membership Application form.

Photographs of me taken at events organized by Velo Cape Breton may be used for promotional or educational purposes.
In my name, I am aware that my participation in bicycling activities involves certain danger and risks and I freely and fully assume all such danger and risks and the possibility of personal injury, death, property damage or loss resulting there from. I, for myself, my heirs, next-of-kin, executors, administrators and assigns, hereby release the Velo Cape Breton Bicycle Association, its officers, directors, members and volunteers from any liability, and waive all claims, causes of actions of any kind whatsoever I may have as a result of me sustaining personal injury, death, property damage or loss while participating in any Velo Cape Breton Bicycle Association activities or events. I, for myself, my heirs, next-of-kin, executors, administrators and assigns hereby agree as follows: 1. to waive any and all claims that may result against Velo Cape Breton Bicycle Association, its directors, officers, volunteers, sponsors and members all of whom are hereinafter referred to as the “releasees”; 2. to release the releasees from any and all liability for any loss, damage, injury or expense that I may suffer or that my next-of-kin may suffer as a result of my participation in said events and activities; 3. to save harmless and indemnity the releasees from any and all liability for any property damage, personal injury or death to any third party from my participation in said events and activities.
Velo Cape Breton Bicycle Association (Velo) is a recreational cycling and advocacy group. As such members routinely interact with other Velo members, the general public, the media, sponsors or advertisers. Conduct of each member of Velo Cape Breton’s leadership team, volunteers, and others engaging with VCB reflect on the organization as a whole.
As such, participation in Velo Cape Breton is subject to the observance of the organization’s rules, policies and procedures. The activities outlined below are strictly prohibited. Any individual engaged in activities with Velo who violate this Code is subject to discipline, up to and including termination, board dismissal and/or removal from committees:

- Abusive or discriminatory language or hate speech towards general members, board members, event attendees or volunteers.
- Discourtesy or rudeness to general members, board members, event attendees or volunteers.
- Verbal, physical or visual harassment of general members, staff members, event attendees or volunteers.
- Actual or threatened violence toward any individual or group.
- Conduct endangering the life, safety, health or well-being of others.
- Failure to follow organization policy or procedure.
- Willful blindness that may result in injury or risk of injury to any individual or group.
- Bullying or taking unfair advantage of general members, board members, event attendees or volunteers.
- Participation in activities that can reasonably be expected to impact negatively the reputation of Velo Cape Breton or cycling in Nova Scotia.
